You don't need an account to search for data on the archive. You will need an account to download data.

The SAMD archive uses anEarth System Grid Federation (ESGF) OpenID as its authentication mechanism. (The SSL certificate used by ESGF is self-signed. Some browsers have difficulty with this certificate and users will need to tell their browser to trust it.)

How to get access:

1. Please register at the the German Climate Computing Centre (DKRZ) node of ESGF for an ESFG OpenID: ESGF-DKRZ.
2. Download one arbitrary data file via your browser. You are asked to accept the SAMD data policy.
3. Accept the SAMD data policy.
4. Hereafter you have free access to all data of the SAMD archive.

At the moment we are providing a wget-script for each data set for the download of the whole data set / separate years. The script is linked at each data sheet. For the download of single files please use the link, included in each data sheet.
