The occurrence and vertical location of liquid clouds are obtained from the cloudnet target categorization product. The corresponding cloud radar reflectivities are read in from the Cloudnet categorization data product and thus are already corrected for gaseous and liquid attenuation. A fill value 4 means that no retrieval has been performed due to missing instrument data or inappropriate atmospheric conditions (coexistence of cloud liquid and drizzle/rain/ice). The most reliable value is when the retrieval converged and the measurements can be reproduced within the assumed uncertainties indicated by the value 0. A value of 1 indicates that the retrieval probably spuriously converged since the measurements can not be reproduced within the assumed uncertainties. A value 2 indicates that the retrieval did not converge to a solution.

A value of 0 indicates retrieval with realistic values for RH at all heights. This includes both retrieval with realistic values for RH over the total interval of uncertainty and those with realistic intervals within a subinterval, only. A value of 1 indicates that unrealistic values for RH, i.e. supersaturation, occur over the whole interval of uncertainty at some height within the profile. A fill value 4 indicates cases for which a retrieval was not possible due to missing instrument data, inappropriate atmospheric conditions or no convergence.)
	sonde_ta_flag: Array of 16 bit Integers [time = 0..2879] time: long_name: radiosonde flag units: 1 flag_masks: 0S, 1S _FillValue: 4 definition: 0: Retrieved air temperature profile consistent with the radiosonde profile, 1:Retrieved air temperature profile inconsistent with radiosonde profile comment: This variable describes whether the first convergent air temperature profile occuring within a time intervall between the actual RS ascent times and last time of RS measurements is consistent with the corresponding radiosonde profiles, i.e. within the assumed uncertainties indicated by a chi-squared test with a 5% error probability. A value of 0 indicates that there is no significant difference between the IPT retrieval and the RS observations. In cases where significant differences have been found, the flag value 1 has been assigned. A fill value 4 indicates all retrieval for which a validation was not possible either due to missing RS measurements or no convergent IPT retrieval available within the time interval of RS measurements.
